50 Nuances d'été- Black and white

The summer has just flown by. Seems like only yesterday that I was picking up my daughter from her last day of school, and now, here she is, going into 1st grade. I'm sad that the summer is ending (I love this season), but I'm especially sad that this project is coming to an end.  It has been a simply wonderful experience participating in the 50 shades of summer blog circle. Sharing my work, along with other very talented photographers, has been an extremely rewarding experience.

This week I took out my Lensbaby again. I also decided to do something a little different, and convert all of my images to black and white. As much as I love colour, black and white images can create a soulful, mysterious mood, or highlight beautiful, natural light.

When I saw the light coming in to the living room and framing her face, I rushed to get my camera.

Loved the way the slice of focus of my lensbaby edge 80 frames her face. This is such a fun lens to use.

The beautiful weather is not going to be here for too much longer, so every minute in the park counts. No more fear when riding her bike anymore. Just hours of fun.

Her new skill...riding with one hand.

There you have it, week number 12 of this wonderful project. I loved rushing to post every Sunday, and hopefully, we will start a new project in the fall. In the meantime, please go visit Andréanne's blog, to see what her little superhero was up to this week. Then follow the links to see how all of the talented ladies are ending the 50 shades of summer project. Have a great week!
