Who doesn't like a BBQ during the summer? Casual dining with good friends is one of the things I look forward to the most during the hot months. The food doesn't have to be complicated, and more importantly, kids can have fun while the parents have time to enjoy themselves.
Last weekend was one of those times. We cooked a bit too much meat, definitely did not contribute to lowering anyone's cholesterol anytime soon, but I can confirm that everyone had a great time. The slip 'n side came out again, and the kids spent hours cooling off.
My friend's daughter is nothing if not determined. She knows what she wants, and I am sure this will get her far in life. We couldn't believe how hard she worked going up the stairs, wearing her mother's flip flops. Well, can you believe she did, she made it all the way to the top!
Finally, the adults were treated to a show, complete with costumes. The princesses making their entrance was certainly a highlight!
Now off to Cape Cod for a family vacation! Hope I will be able to share some the highlights with you, despite limited internet connection.
